In late 1980's, Curtis met a beautiful young Norwegian model, by the name of Anika Sundell. At the time Anika wasn’t actively pursuing a singing career, but Curtis talked her into singing for him and it turned out that she had a unique singing voice. Curtis was so excited by her talent that Curtis took on Anika’s management and began writing songs for her. Soon after recording the demo, , Curtis and Anika attended the New Music Seminar in NYC. They were both recorded on video tape where Curtis remarked that he had “three bonafide offers” for record deals, for Anika.
